Pumpkin seeds

Pumpkin seeds (also called pepitas) are edible seeds taken from pumpkins, especially from the plant Cucurbita pepo. They are flat, oval-shaped, and light green inside (sometimes with a white outer shell).

Taste: Mild, nutty flavor

Texture: Soft and chewy or crunchy when roasted

Use: Eaten raw, roasted, or added to salads, snacks, and cereals
